Napoleon crashes, pls help!!

Hi! I have the next problem with the game. It crashes several times in multi and single battles. After CTD I get the regular windows error message:

"Napoleon Total War has stopped working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

If anynoe knows how I could fox this problem I would appreciate your help. I ran dxdiag you can see the result. Thanks for your help:

With this kind of problem, i would suggest first two things :

-download and install the latest driver for your video card : here if i'm right : http://www2.ati.com/drivers/11-3_vis...dd_ccc_ocl.exe
-check your files in Steam by checking integrity of your game files (right click, properties, checking integrity)

i have tried what you suggested (both of them) but the problem is the same. On the battlefield sometimes the units are black or white and on the campaign map when I pless "next turn" t ends up in a CTD

Unfortunately there's usually never a clear fix to these CTD's to begin with because they seem to have been caused by numerous different factors.

First, and most obvious - Do you have any mods installed? If a mod is conflicting with another, or with recently patched game files, etc, then the end result is inevitably a CTD.

Second, and less obvious - Be mindful of how you have you graphics configured. About 8 months ago I had a problem that was alot like your's. Land battles were a toss-up. Half of the time it would load and all of my men would be either chocolaty brown or dark gray, and several moments into the battle I would get a CTD, as opposed to the other half of the time when everything would be fine and flawless until what always seemed to be the apex of the battle, 15-20 minutes in, when I would be suprised with the dreaded CTD.

It took me a couple of months to come across a possible solution, which boasted success with turning off the superfluous visual effects, most imperatively Vertical Synchronization. You know at the bottom of the panel, where there's several boxes which can be checked or unchecked?

First, go into your graphics panel, uncheck all of the little boxes at the bottom of the graphics panel. Second, go up and find the settings for shader quality and take it down 1 level. Then, for added insurance, check if your partical effects are on the highest setting, then try crank them down to medium. In addition to this you may want to set the rest of your graphics on low, and disable things like shadows and grass, BUT it's not necessary for this test. Restart the game and see if you still get a CTD.

Now, if your game still crashes, then you know for sure that you're problem is due to some sort of corruption with your game files and, given that you've verified their integrity through steam and nothing was changed, then we're at a diagnostic dead-end, and the only thing that I would suggest at that point would be to wipe the Napoleon folder found in AppData containing all of your settings, preferences, personal fancies, and then do a complete re-installation of the game.

Thank you for all your help! This information can be important too. I got this message when I was reinstalling Napoleon:

"Running Steam in Windows compatibility mode is not recommended. Please remove any windows compatibility settings for all users under properties for steam.exe and restart Steam. Press 'Cancel' to permanently ignore this warning and continue."

I don't have Steam in Compatibility mode and it's working. Try it without it.
