Leader defied!!!
Hre late campaign BGR 4 and everything is going perfectly fine(apart from the fact that i don't have money)and within one turn everything changes.5-6 generals now have a"leader defied" trait. As a result every settlement that was occupied by such general now revolts...wtf.When i take them out of the city public order is restored.1)why such a trait appeared in the first place
2) how do i get reed of it
the description says that one of my generals disobeyed orders so i guess it has to do with crime and punishment but i didn't do anything(or so i think)
Any ideas??

Re: Leader defied!!!
Well i ve read the manual and the forum topic(if that's what you mean)but i could not find anything relative in there.I played a couple turns more and the trait disappeared on its own.I was just curius because i didnt do anything plus there was no trait like order warning or something. The trait appeared only in generals with low loyalty and the next turn was gone

Re: Leader defied!!!
Leader defied means that one of you generals disobeyed an official order of your King... check your King's traits. Usually something like if your king has high dread or chivalry he orders all his generals to be more like himself. The other possibility is if your faction is already large enough to have orders limiting who can attack foreign territories. If a general without authorization attacks foreigners in a foreign territory the King's orders are ignored and all the slightly disloyal nobles become more disloyal seeing the King defied and start to plan their own rebellions. If your King re-establishes authority then the problem goes away. However if the disobedient generals ignores the new orders from the King, IE, return to capitol, banishment, or paying a fine- then all those nobles who were planning a rebellion carry through with it. It also matters alot the level of authority of your king. If you have a young low authority king or just an old guy who never built up much authority all these problems will be worse. If you king has good to high authority sometimes you barely notice a leader defied action.

Re: Leader defied!!!
My faction leader has 9/10 authority and has gained the "cares for his people trait" (just for record).I m pretty sure i didn't break the "chivalry code" order that he issued and i didn't invade foreign lands with an authorized general...i did use them to protect my own lands though and i m sure non of my generals had any other disobedient trait. But as i said before it only lasted for one turn and then it disappeared.

Read The Manual

Re: Leader defied!!!
It would have been a first warning. The general in question would have been warned with a small fine or for a second offense a large fine. That general will still have either warned or fined triat so you can see who was responsible. Third and fourth offenses and some actions jump straight to being Summoned or Banished.
Authority indirectly lessens the impact (nobles with enough loyalty coupled with FL's high authority probably may not rebel so you can ride the storm) But summoned and banished punishments must not be ignored or the empire will suffer needlessly.
