A project im working on...

So recently i've been interested in multiplayer online rpg game design and have been using the Eclipse Source engine to design my own 2d game in visual basic. Im very interested in gauging peoples ideas so I decided to post it here. The outline of my game follows, it has no name as yet:

2D Online RPG set during the Roman Republic, will be entirely player driven, kind of a sandbox game, no quests or anything of that sort. There will be a hierarchy with players starting as peasants and working their way up, some lucky players will hold positions of power and will have roles including administering treasuries, constructing buildings etc. The engine does have in built combat system for PVP and PVE but im not yet sure how to utilize it, perhaps there will be a zone on the outskirts of the republic where players that are soldiers can defend against NPC Gauls. Of course the stats like Strength, Spirit etc will be changed for more Personality traits such as Influence.

and of course it will be completely free. At the moment I am in desperate need of a pixel artist, because those sprites were drawn(badly) by me in photoshop.

So my question is, is anyone interested in such a game?

And do a tiny bit of VB programming. But nothing of use probably.

Yo check out capua blood and sand sim on the second life viewer it is completely free and is sort of this same idea it does have a gladiator focus but it is not limited to that I play a Greek stoic philosopher from Athens looking to start a school at the local stoa. Not to crush your idea it is great but if you like roman rp it is something to consider
