Holy Roman Empire. Allied myself with Venice and they attacked Genoa after Genoa had declared war.
i am alied with hre as genoa and we just entered in gun powder discovered era...playing early campaign and alied form the 1st-3rd turn but our relations are not that good. Because i forced them in to a war with ere who is vast in our campaign. Holding around 35 sett and having a huge army spread all over. So they a little angry but i just sold them a toledo for 6k to improve our aliance.i hope it will last because they are 2nd strongest faction on the map.
alliances? what are those?
do leave your name if you give me rep. i may just return the favor. maybe.

I was once allied to all but one catholic kingdom and also Byz and Kiev... Hungary where in war with the byz so that would explain it... my own faction was the English which bought most of France and Flanders from France and HRE... Although, the Scots where not allies because they where dead (Hi-ho assassins... awaaaaayyyyy)....
this was only for a veeery short time (5-10 turns) due to the fact that HRE got excommed after attacking Venice and during the crusade that started, everyone tried to get a chunk from each other so I had to choose which factions I wanted to stay in touch with... in the end, I was allied only to Byz, Denmark (through marriage), Leon, Venice (through marrige) and the Pope...![]()
lol.
Meself as England allied with the scots and French.
Funny I tell you, the french for some reason didnt break it for liek 100 turns (until i broke it).
lol the scots remained in their place, they went to war with the HRE but were beaten back and never made absolutely anything excepy sitting at my borders with a stack and a half.
lol
"By what right does the wolf judge the lion?"
You have better self-control than I do. The few random times when i do play England, I can't stand to sit there with the Scots mocking me by taking up space. Same when I'm Scotland staring down at England. More so even, I do my best suicide rush downwards or find ways to make the French attack them and I mop up. So before u broke the alliance with the French, what were u doing? who'd u attack in the meanwhile?
lol
I kno its wierd
I got the rebel settlements on northern france and the ones at ireland. Then silly norway lands a puny pathetic stack on York. lol
That did it, i goes and destroy them along with denmark. by that time i thought that it was enough being nice guy. I dclared war on HRE, France, Poland and the moors (who had steamrolld all of spain and was on the way to france.) then I gets excommunicated and roflpwned
did i mention it was a failed campaign?

OK maybe my self-control comment was a bit premature. As a side note: you may have anger management issues. Everything was going good until you started playing SS like a fighting game racking up combo points w/ the "rolling rampage" soundbite looping over and over in your head.
I wonder how the denizens of your campaign world would remember you? As some sort of grand Alexander figure? Napoleon perhaps? Or something more akin to Don Quixote?
