Cannot host w/o crash

After 45 mins of trying to host a game{not classic battle}im giving up. As soon as i host and i get into the unit/map selection area the game crashes.
Ive played 90 hours without incident then today this happens. Ive tried changing dl servers,verifying game cache files......even defragmenting all to no avail.
Any ideas?

It's a game that's prone to quirky problems? CA memory management isn't what it might be? hehe - I really don't know.

Update and retry. Update drivers for your network interface - and any motherboard gubbins like nForce.

Event manager?

Update audio. Reduce hardware acceleration in audio. Disable ATI audio. Disable all audio. Smash PC.

Its windows 7 64 and i have 8 gigs of ram so how could i be out of memory? I can run every other aspect of the game fine i just cannot host a multiplayer game.
Will try updating directx 9c and see what happens.

Update....tried updating drx 9c with same results. I can join a game,and all aspects of single player are fine. Just cannot host a game.......strange that this problem rears it head after 90 hours of playing{mostly hosting}.

Check your permissions for hosting through your security? Mine frowns on "game mode" without manually doing it.

Dont think i have a "game mode" as all im running for security is windows defender. I know a lot of people are having trouble with game saves im going to go and delete all my game saves and see if that helps....

Guess ill bump this for one more chance. And if you reinstall the game do you lose you avatar and vets? Or are these saved on steam cloud?

I would not go that far. MP is bugged anyways, so we all may have to wait until DX11 and another MP patch comes around.

Do you have the Steam Cloud enabled for the game? If you do you should not lose them.

same problem, pretty sure it is the patch that broke it, every clan mate i spoke to now have the same problem since updating. I suspect the game is trying to load the last game hosted setting, but the patch doesn't save a invalid config because they change some code in the game setup. it only happens after hosting a game, if the setup create a spectator on it's own, and it not corrected, u are struck with an unplayable host.
