Honestly think this thread will get closed but I need to share my thoughts on this whole "TATW Shogun 2" shenanigans. Shogun 2 in its current state is, quite frankly, a b**ch to mod. Even if the TATW team wanted to move to Shogun, I doubt they could accomplish as much as they did with the ME2TW engine. Another thing is that they would almost have to work from scratch. I've watched this mod grow up since they beginning and let me tell you, I don't even want to wait for it again for three years let alone CREATE it!
Now for the good news. A Rome 2 total war is almost inevitable. Arguable the best TW in the series, SEGA would do right to shape up their act and deliver the TW game we all have wanted since ME2 for the sequal to Rome. Not to say Shogun 2 is bad. Its just not amazing per-say. But your best bet is to wait for Rome 2 TW for another TATW mod. The Rome era is more "useable" then Japan anyway, and I'm sure SEGA with finally take fan's advice and release better modding tools for it.
So there you have it folks. TATW is never going to be made for Shogun 2. Let it go. But fret not, we still have a rapidly updated TATW for ME2, and Shogun 2 to carry us over. And Hopefully when Rome 2 TW is released the TATW team will be ready to move on and give us the next step in the TATW franchise, cause thats really what its turning into.
