    I always wanted a way to stop crusades/Jihads from taking place so here are two suggestions:

    1) So how about providing a text notification that a named priest/imam in a different religion has 10 turns till the piety to call a crusade/jihad, thus enabling you to send assassins / spies to locate / assassinate him?

    Thus in assassinating him, you cause a delay for a religious call to fight until a priest/imam gained the required piety.

    example:
    Our spy network has discovered that Imam Al Hassan of the Egyptian Empire will soon have the authority to call a religious war should he so our people may become a target of a Jihad!
    [10 turns]

    2) On occasions i have forgotten to check if my Priests/Imams have the ability to call a new invasion only to find a rival call the shots after choosing to end my turn.

    Perhaps providing a top 5 scoreboard [every 3 turns] of priests/imams in your religion from all countries sharing your religion..so you can see who is in above your priest and attempt to assassinate them thus giving you the power to call a Crusade/Jihad before your rival.

    3)ect.

    Jihad/crusades are so nice to deal with, it gives epic battles. (I much prefer to defend than doing it)

    Crusades is the only thing that stops the fatimids from uber-stack-spamming the world.

    Jihads is the only way to keep the Romans from Uber-STACK-spamming the effing world.

    So no, i donts want to prevent it.

    Just remove the Jihad or Crusade tag from every city that has it.

    Egyptian and Byzantine infinite troop production will be fixed in the next RR/RC.

    frankly, Jihad/Cursade is one of the feature that outstanding in M2TW than any other TW games.

    If we could make any changes, I rather have shorter cool-down between each Jihad/Cursades.

    The script you're asking for is probably impossible or hard to make, and it's easier to remove the Crusade/Jihad tags.

    Imams only need like 5 piety or some low crap to call jihads so that's all you'd ever be doing is killing imams. And catholics go by papal relations so there's no real way to properly control the situation.

    The Crusades/Jihads are fine, they're perhaps the best part of a medieval centred game.

    If you remove the jihad /crusade target tags in descr_regions it only means that the targets will be more random.
    The tags act as prioritisers but don't limit the targets that can be chosen.

    If you want to stop crusades and jihads, you can try opening the file
    descr_campaign_db.xml (it can be edited in notepad if you like)

    there's a section on crusades:

            <near_target_no_disband_distance float="4.0"/>
            <disband_progress_window float="3"/>

    If you change the turns that crusades and jihads start to 999 (for example - I've not tested that but worth trying) that should give you plenty of turns before they start.

    Yay for helpful modders This might be useful to me if I get tired of them crusades.

    duration should be increased because of how ill use it as diversion's and rarely recieve them defensively

    Leave it to the modder to perfect the works of the paid developers for no profit at all.
