Keeping foreign name

I just married my princess to a foreign general and I'd like for his offspring to keep his surname, you know, for realism's sake.

Now, in previous games whenever I married a princess to a foreign general, even if his surname was on my faction's name list (I was playing Aragon and the general was Portuguese), the AI would pick a random surname.

So, is there a way to do achieve what I'm looking for? Or should I just take the random names as they come?

Not really possible. They get random names because the foreign generals name isn't in your factions namelist.
Technically you could add his name to the list (not sure if that would require a new campaign though), but then captains, adopted generals and such have a chance of ending up with that name.

Done that, except I just had only my name on the list, ah the ego I had have...
Fairly sure it's save game compatible.
