Default How Do I... in 3ds Max (questions)

This might be one of the largest list of questions I've ever created . Of course, I am awaiting for answers . If there are tutorials already made you can link them to me. If there ain't, the moderators could update this as a FAQ after there are some answers. This would make me real grateful and... would help me in my future projects (such as In The Wake Of Gods: TW for M2:TW (HoMM 3.5 for M2:TW)) and in my present projects (AC Barbarian Invasion) as well . However, I belive this are the only things left for me to know about TW modding. Enough chattering... here are my questions.
    How do I:
    1) Professionally make UI cards for non-infantry units (cavalry, elephants, siege) //in 3ds Max.
    2) Create an unedited model to start modelling a new unit //in 3ds Max.
    3) Add shields spears, helmet, mantle and other stuff to a 3ds Max character
    4) How do I add/edit polys, vertexes... (stuff like this, you know), and how do I assign a texture to the model.

As I said you can also reply with links to tutorials, if there are any.
