Should I wait for the 5.0 patch or download 4.5 now?

5.0 isn't a patch, its going to be a whole new version. The version where we come out of Beta stage infact.

If you'v not played TGW up to this point I would honestly say just wait that bit longer, 5.0 is a massive improvement over the unstable 4.5 beta version.

If you use the installer it will automaticaly do everything for you.

If you install manualy, then yes you will have to remove 4.5.

I'm kind of new here to the forums. (I just downloaded the great war mod yesterday, and in my opinion it and the TATW mod for Medieval 2 are the best mods here.) So when are we going to see the 5.0 Version? (This year I hope.)

If you think the very buggy 4.5 is great, then you'll worship 5.0 as the the father of God (no offense to believers). And yes, it should appear this summer start, I believe, but I have no data, so it's only guessing.

5.0 will in many ways feel like an entirely different game, beta testers have already left brief descriptions of combat that was completely alien to vanilla N:TW.

I would download it, don't listen to the creators. The battles I have been playing are absolutely amazing. Last night I played a battle where my 2000-3500 fought and annihilated an army of 8000
