Stupid question, but I just wondered. Which one you think is the better?
Both have their uses. Druzhinas are less important i think for Russia than Mailed Knights for Western factions since the Russian starting cav combo "Kazaks-Boyar Sons" can very much handle anything the AI throws at you by itself while most Westerners are desperate to get their hands on those first early knights...
But that doesn't mean that Knights are better than Druzhinas. Have to look at their stats again, i've relied on both units extensively in many battles and both were very good and to be counted on.
Both are certainly reliable cavalry - kind of even in my opinion.
The Druzhina are better fighters, but the Mailed Knights have greater charge bonus.
But still, if I have to choose between them, I´d take the Druzhina - they´re not really better, but I still find them a little more reliable in stressed situations.

I ususally always use both, as you only get one of them in campaign. I think both are useful, but I never compared because I never had to choose 1 from the 2.
Druzhina all the way; they are so much more versatile.
Druzhina have axes... Yes, the knights have a slightly higher charge bonus -- but Druzhinas still have a spear for the charge, but especially for engaging enemy Cavalry their axes come in handy.
I use Druzhina the entire time that I play as Russia, even when Tsars Guard is available...
The Druzhina is more like the Feudal Knight rather than Mailed Knight.
