The kingdoms blank error

I know this may have been posted before,so dont rape me.

I get the blank error when i launch kingdoms.exe.

I installed kingdoms over MTW2 patched to 1.3,then patched kingdoms to 1.5

I know i can run it from the launcher,(and it works fine) problem is i want to play eras total conquest (2.2.2) and it seems to use kingdoms.exe to start.So any help will be thanked.

Kingdoms.exe IS NOT a standalone .exe. It has to be started by one og the four campaigns that came with it or a mod based on the campaigns.

But i can run any campaign via the launcher,but i cant start any of them with K.exe.I could upload a screen showing it but just no need,its a blank error after the MTW2 loading screen(weird,shouldn't it be Kingdoms?)
should i reinstall or something im just annoyed with the time i have to lose on that.

As irishron said before the kingdoms.exe is not a standalone executable. Double clicking it will result in the error you described. It must be referenced in a shortcut with the mod folder filepath added in the shortcut.

Here's an example - "C:\Program Files\Medieval2Gold\kingdoms.exe" --features.mod=mods/americas"

This would open the Kingdoms Americas campaign.

When you're trying to load that mod are you directing the shortcut to the correct path for the mod?

Where are the install instructions for that mod? Could you give us a link?

Have you installed the Kingdoms patch? Many mods require it to work.

Assuming Vista or 7, disable the UAC concerning mods like TATW, Stainless Steel, DLV, etc. They don't work with the UAC enabled.

I don't use the launcher. I have a desktop of icons instead.

You dont read - above i said i have Kingdoms patched to 1.5.
I dont have any other mods but Eras

Ill try to disable the UAC and see what happens

I know nothing about the mod.

Try installing it in C:\Games leaving the UAC disabled.

I found out what the prob is - Its the patch.It gives 4 errors when updating each campaing - sayz ive edited the directories or something i havent touched anything.
Im pretty solid thats the reason.But how to fix this i have no idea

Download a fresh patch. Too many downloads for it to be the patch's fault.

Eras 2.2.2 is launching Kingdoms exe when executed,the mod works with Kingdoms thats why i need to fix that error,The mod is FINE,the exe is FAULT!

Nothing that is going to crash the game.

kingdoms.exe cannot be played by itself. It is not a standalone.exe like medieval2.exe or rometw.exe. This is why it works with the mod.

Are you saying the mod does not start or does it start?

Download and install the mod in my sig and I can tell you faster.

what a way to make a commertial.No the mod starts,but it obviously uses Kingdoms.exe because they start the same way and show the same blank error.
