Default How do I remove or add starting settlements?

I know the primary file is descr_strat, however, up to what part do I delete or what else do I need to modify to make sure the game actually works when I'm done? My aim is to seriously handicap the Byzantines (when I play as them) by removing all Anatolia as well as Caffa and Rhodes, possibly Durazzo too and prop up other places and cripple others despite historical demands. Thanks in advance~

When you edit descr_strat you dont have to delete map.rwm

Liandro what you need to do is move the entries for the settlements you want to remove from the byzantine section to the rebels (i.e. slave) section. You then need to remove or move the starting armies of the Romans that were in those settlements. So it's then not a cakewalk for you or anyone else to then retake them, you should also add rebel armies to those settlements. There are tutorials on this in the Mod Workshop.

Thanks a lot, Caesar Clivus, I wouldn't have thought about adding rebels.

Ok, I give, which "How To" do I need to add rebels? I'd just as soon copy the entire starting settlements of CBUR for 6.1, this not as easy as I thought, or rather as quick.

Look at the coordinates of the different settlements in descr_strat, and in the section for the Rebel faction, simply make an army that's also in those same coordinates.

the easiest way to set up a (rebel) army on the strategic map in the right way is...
move the cursor to the position you want your army (settlement) and open the console and type in "show_cursorstat" and you will get the position coordinates .. as example x 326 y 257
type this coordinates behind the army you created in the desc_strat and they will appear on that position on the strategic map! to delete the map.rwm isnt necessary!

    hope this helps !!!
