It is a standalone mod.
You install version 8.0, then 8.1 then the separate formations : ___Darth Dark Formations 16.2 “Super Pack”(Updated 10/10/2006)___
The separate formations can work with other mods although not optimally.

Been a while since I installed them, but I think it's the same method as it is fore DM, just make sure you use the right file.

EDIT: just follow the link Darth gave you and follow the install instructions.

If you want to replace then just follow the instructions in the link Darth gave you
If you want to merge different formations you'll have to wait for Darth to answer that, as I don't know how.

Umm...i go there,& where the links are it says:generic all mod type,& there is no link there...:/

At the very top is the download link. All the types listed there are in the same folder, you just pick the one you want and copy it over the RTW folder.

P.S. You will need 7zip to unpack the mod, and Install instructions are in the downloaded file also.
