Thank you for the encouragement (both here and in the comments section of the Dodging Bullets article.)

Oops. Yeah, maybe I should have mentioned that.

It's for Rome 2. Based on a Hard/Hard Caesar in Gaul Campaign playing the Nervii. Basically vanilla (no major overhauls, unit mods etc) but with a few smaller mods to mix things up a little, like A More Aggressive AI, More AI Armies, and the Great Politics Overhaul Compilation mod (all by Ron Burgandy.) It's proving... eventful.

    All the Best,

There's no reason you should have done, really - you might have wanted to keep us in suspense. I was just being nosy.

Eventful might be good, for an AAR. It's certainly piquing my interest, at least!

Chapter 2: Prophecy (Part 2) is now up.

And I've created an Advert on the Advertising Board. Hopefully it's not too big, I just felt the best Ad I can do at the moment is the teaser text with the picture of Boduognatus from the CA Wiki. If it is then someone please let me know and I'll change it.

    All the Best,

    Welsh Dragon.

We have enough entries to run both the MAARC (Monthly After Action Report Competition) and MCWC (Monthly Creative Writing Competition). Thanks to everyone who has entered.

I am planning to post the vote threads during the weekend. This is a 'final call' for anyone else with an AAR or creative writing which qualifies to enter, if you would like to. Winners receive Writers' Study competition points, which (when you have enough) earn you a Writers' Study Competition Medal. First-place winners also receive immortal glory in the Hall of Fame. Even if your entry does not win, entering a Writers' Study competition can be a good way to attract more readers, so (in that sense) to enter is to win.

You can find both competitions here. The rules - including how you qualify and how you enter - are in the opening posts of the submission threads. If anyone has questions about the competitions, just ask. When the polls open (in a day or two), everyone is welcome to vote for your favourite creative writing and AARs.

The Writers' Study invites everyone to vote in two competitions: the Monthly Creative Writing Competition XVI and the Monthly AAR Competition LXXI. If you vote, you need to use two votes in each competition. Thanks to everyone who entered - good luck!

Would you like to enter a short-story competition? Tale of the Week 264 is open for submissions!

Would you like a preview of the 2017 Writers' Study Yearly Awards competition? You can post on that thread to express your views about the categories (including a proposal for a new 'exceptional contributions to the Writers' Study other than by writing AARs or Creative Writing' category).

Everyone is invited to have a look at Caillagh de Bodemloze's new article, The August 2017 Writers' Study Safari. Comments and suggestions of topics for future Critic's Quill articles are welcome, you can post in the article's comments section or here on this chat thread.

Once again, my fellow readers and writers, I bring you an almost unbelievable opportunity!

The vote for MAARC LXXI resulted in a tie-break between ALL THREE of our original entrants. I therefore invite you to relive the excitement of that original vote by voting all over again in the tie-breaker!

Bring your friends, bring your family, bring anyone you can persuade, and let's see if we can end up with a winner!

(Just one vote per person this time.)

Soooo... I've been gone awhile, thinking about some S2 writing, either as a common soldier for or against the Imagawa, or in a FOTS campaign a la the Last Samurai.

As someone who is preparing to get back into his FoTS AAR, I'd say go for the first one!
