Are you implying your family is more important than TWC?

I wasn't intentionally implying that, no... but I'll be happy to state it explicitly if you'd like me to, since it's true.

There is now a new Tale of the Week competition for everyone to enter. Because this is TotW 300, it's a special competition, with special prizes!

You also still have a little bit of time left to vote in TotW 299: The Emperor and the Child, so if you haven't already done that, head over there!

A small buzz from my side to the content team - can Swords Made of Letters be included in the Finished Works of CW?

Happy New Year! There's still time (for now) to vote in the Writers' Study Yearly Awards. Meanwhile, our 300th Tale of the Week and our 90th MAARC are open for entries.

Already submitted mine. I’m also running late on it but slowly have worked my way through the Creative Writing submissions prior to voting and am almost done

As some among you might have noticed I no longer wear the blue of Content. After 4 years of service I decided to go into retirement. It all started here in the WS in what seems so long ago. I'll always love this place and the people I met here. The WS is a one of a kind of place. I'm not going anywhere though, hell I might even have time and energy to finally continue writing my AAR. It's been an absolute pleasure being Staff for this place and you all!

Keep up the good work friends!

Having trouble sleeping, pal? You're invited to Tale of the Week 301: Nighthawks. You never know who you'll meet in a diner at midnight.

Meanwhile, don't forget to vote in our 300th Tale of the Week competition, or the Spartans might be unhappy - and we don't want them to be unhappy, not after the mess the made of the Writers' Lounge last time.

If you enjoy world-building, you could check our BagaturSasha's "New Universe" development in Creative Writing.

Looking for a current AAR with a fantasy theme? Don't miss out on Maltacus's My Dread Lady and SolidSnake's The Red King.

If you'd like to see some videos of fantasy game-play, check out zachman1201's Aegon's Conquest and A New Power is Rising.

Considering that TWC tends to have players who like historical Total War, it's interesting that so much of our current writing has a science fiction or fantasy setting! I wonder what attracts people to fantasy settings. For me, it's partly because it's fun to explore another world and its people - both human and non-human.

Meanwhile, don't miss out on what's happening in the Artists' Studio are doing - the pictures in Game Picture of the Year and Picture of the Year are impressive, don't forget to cast your votes!
