Actually TW didn't sell anything because TW isn't a company.

I don't know the numbers though, maybe ask CA/Sega directly.

They said something about "Over 1 million" ETW copies....or it was over 7 milllion???? duh, don't remember

As far as I know they've only broken even. However since they keep pumping out games I'm lead to believe they might actually be making money with these games!

I do believe we can expect all of them (except maybe the original Shogun) to have easily sold over a million copies, especially with the addition of the game on Steam. If it's the future of the series you're wondering, I do believe they're set to make more.

obviously they make some money or else they would have stopped by now. I dont have any numbers, but ETW was apperantly a huge financial success, terrible game but it sold well. I'd assume the sales have gone up from Shogun one until Empire, went down for Shogun 2.

Also, CA is not 'pumping out games', the way they have always done it is new game in year one, expansion year two, new game year three. napoleon was an expansion. And i would be surprised to see them sell more then a million copies for shogun 2, Empire sold one million iirc which was a huge achievment. The series has gained popularity with almost every game but i'd be surprised if M1 or S1 sold more then a few hundred thousand, and if rome or M2 sold more then 750K (each).

Rome is when the series started selling so I'd say Rome made a tidy profit.
