    Right; uploading v1.7 now.

    - contains a few more bugfixes (spotted by Ender Seldon:thanks mate!)
    - reverted back to RTW.exe; I thought that it was best, due to installation complications with Steam users and to ensure that more people can play the mod. I should add that all the original units with 1.7 are STILL in v1.8; luckily I managed to find (and delete) a few more dummy units in the DMB file =D

    I've tested it a bit and it seems that the mod is in perfect working order. Please do PM me or post on this thread if you discover any problems!

    UPDATE - seems Filefronts being a pain and the upload page is not loading properly ¬_¬

    Allright lads, v1.7's up. Reverted back to RTW.exe, so Alexander is no longer needed to play the mod =)

    Don't forget to send me feedback (and rep if needs be =P); the more mistakes pointed out the quicker I can fire out bugfixes (if any)!

    sorry for second post, I managed to download the mod but, it seems filefront is acting weird. I'll let you know what I think after I play for awhile.

    I have a problem starting this mod that i didnt have with any other until now. When i start the bat file my screen goes black and it just stays like this, no loading screen, no nothing. Moreover i cant exit it and i need to force restart my laptop its really wierd. I tried to run the file as admin but nothing happens when i do that. The program just appears for a sec then it exits. Any ideas how i can fix this?

    ^ I have this problem as well, by the way you don't have to restart, just control+alt+delete and end task.

    PS - I take it you are both using Steam? What is the .exe file called; I could really use a print-screenie of the Steam-RTW Gold folder contents....

    I'll try and get a screen cap but, my print screen button doesn't seem to work. I'm its the same as a non-steam version except located in steam\steamapps\common\rome total war gold. I'm using Vista if that helps.

    I am with vista as well and my version is not with steam just regular RTW copy. BTW when i ctrl alt del i have to wait for ages to load and it lags like hell. Srsly i dont know what is this bat file doing but my CPU usage is like 110% and its way quicker to force restart than to wait the laggy task manager.

    Hmmmm, how old is your laptop, mine is three years old but, not really a gaming laptop.

    4 years give or take, but this thing happens for a first time with a RTW mod. I can play RS2, EB etc. without any problems. I can play M2TW too, so i really dont think its a hardware issue. Maybe that bat file has some sort of incompatibility with my system idk...

    Have you both tried running the TE batch file in Windows XP compatibility mode?

    In the meantime; I created another batch file; give this one a try (delete the old TE one) and see if it fixes your problem.

    Yeah the new bat file didn't work for me either. Can you view my rtw contents folder in the image I posted above?
