    Icon2 Any word on a longer game yet?

    I know there are many threads about this, but none are really solved yet.

    I am wondering if it's possible to make the game longer by doing one of the following : Earlier start date, later end date (for victory conditions), or more turns per year.

    I want to make the game a bit longer turn-wise/length-wise by any of the above 3 means because I really don't want to feel rushed like I currently am. It makes the game less fun having to conquer a province per turn, literally.

    Is there any progress or word on any of the above things working? I found victory conditions to change the end-date in the startpos.esf, but does it work yet or cause any corruption problems? I also found how to change start date and make generals/daimyo's have births sooner to compensate for the earlier start, but is this said to work and not cause any corruption as well?

    I've looked through all the threads on these issues but none seem to have an answer or final verdict. Any help is highly appreciated.

    You have to start a new campaign to do this, but im not sure though if you really have to, it's just my way. After you start new campaign, save it. Open ESF Editor 1.4.6, open your save game. and do this:

    Open CAMPAIGN_SAVE_GAME > CAMPAIGN_ENV > CAMPAIGN_MODEL > Click on CAMPAIGN CALENDAR (not the + sign)... and it's gonna say 4 on the first line, change it to 12 or 24. 12 = 1 turn per month. 3 turns per season. 24 = 6 turns per season. Save.

    Load your game and you are set.

    I just created a small mod which extends the victory conditions of the campaign. I extended the conditions to 1600 for the short campaigns, 1620 for the long campaigns, and 1640 for the domination campaigns. You can find it here, http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=438857
