RR/RC compilation "simulates" the fact that many medieval armies included large numbers of mercenaries through their division of units.
The way I see it, the "Local" and the "Professinal" type units represent the various mercenaries (while the "Feudal" type represent the various "knight-type" units).
Now, what if the "Local" units were made available in cities (not just castles)?
With a lower replenishment rate, of course.
Would this unbalance the game? Would it make it too easy?
The way I see it, this only makes sense. If a certain band of men are working as semi-professinal mercs for whatever feudal lord is in charge in the neighborhood, they wouldn`t really insist for that feudal lord to have a pretty castle...
Another thing why I feel this change might be good, is that it might allow for a drastic reducement of militia type troops.
I personally find it irritating that you get 2 sets of units, that for most of the time do the exact same function. Just one does it worse than the other(militia troops vs. castle troops).
So, the question is, will putting "Local" type units into cities unbalance/make the game too easy?
