GAMEOVERLAYUI.EXE Problem!

Everytime I start the game it just stays on the Total War loading screen. I upgraded my computer with a Nvidia Geforce 6200 512mb, I have 4GB of RAM and 2.8GZ of speed.

When I Alt+Tab from the screen to go back to my desktop, there's an error message saying GameoverlayUI.exe isn't working.

I tried going into the steam folder and put the gameoverlayui.exe files in the recycle bin....the game worked after doing so, but eventually crashed to desktop. I tried doing the same thing again but the darn overlayui.exe error message came up again.

Is there a way to fix thius so i can actually play the game without the error message popping up? Thanks a lot!
