There seems to be many of you who have a difficult time effectively setting up and fighting a star fortification battle, and therefore this exciting aspect of the game is generally avoided. I provide this tutorial primarily for the novices among you, but hope that some veterans might also find a nugget or two of helpful information.

    Setup:

    What mod are you using?

    Mods used...

La montee de l'Empire (LME) - for the historical focus and additional units.
Stronger Forts and Buildings - so 6 pounder cannons can't knock down the walls with only a few shots.
Larger Unit Sizes - for 2 1/2 times the vanilla games' unit sizes.
Modified deployment zones - to gain some extra space for the initial setup.
Ultimate Soundmod - for the great battle sound effects.
Drum Roll Change (cadences) all factions - to get the cool drum and bugel effects.
Tracer Effects Reduction - because full tracers are quite silly looking.
Alternative minimap icons - because this is exactly what the game needed.
Complete Equipment Retexture - for obvious reasons.
Napoleon Total Flags - again for obvious reasons.

And the U-AI Mod For Campaign and Battle AI is also included in (LME). So technically, this isn't a tutorial on how to play against the vanilla BAI. But anyone rookie enough to still be playing with vanilla BAI doesn't need a tutorial, now do they?
