welp, I have bee lurking these forums for days now and I haven't found anything so i made an account so maybe you guys can help me out.
NTW works great when it comes to gameplay. I play on all the low settings, and I never experience the game crashing during a battle. The Napoleon Intro plays well, The lip movement is a bit off but the audio is nice and fluent. Multiplayer matches are the same. Once the fight is ready me and my opponent begin exchanging arms and it's all okay. My computer cost around 500 dollars and has 180 gigs on it. My friends computer cost 400 bucks and has a freaking terabyte on it and runs faster than the average cruise missile flys through the air, even on max setting. However I have no intention on raising my resolution, I'm fine with low specs. I even wish there was an option to make NTW graphics look like RTW graphics so that it doesn't lag so freaking hard. So for the most part gameplay is smooth.
Then it gets to the loading screen and I start to seriously consider killing myself. It takes, no joke, about 10-15 minutes to load this long ass bar that takes up the entire screen. Versus RTW's 4 inch bar that loaded in 10-15 seconds. I have to click every button very carefully, because if I accidentally choose campaign when I want multiplayer it will take a good 25 minutes to get back to the main menu. Please.. please somebody have a guide somewhere that will fix this. I cannot play a game that takes longer to load then it does to fight. I feel like I'm losing time, I spend 12 minutes loading on a 7 minute battle. Then theres the 5 minute load to get back to the campaign map. I'm forced to go through the campaign auto-resolving everything. And naval battles? Forget about it.
I have updated all my graphics cards, but that only makes the gameplay smoother, and it's fine as is. I also use Game Booster, but again only helps the actual fighting.
Please, if there is a God you can help me.Code: [View]Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 Manufacturer: NVIDIA Chip type: GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_03D0&SUBSYS_2A5B103C&REV_A2 Display Memory: 313 MB Dedicated Memory: 122 MB Shared Memory: 191 MB Current Mode: 1440 x 900 (32 bit) (60Hz) Monitor Name: Compaq W17q Wide LCD Monitor Monitor Model: Compaq W17q Monitor Id: HWP26E1 Native Mode: 1440 x 900(p) (59.887Hz) Output Type: HD15 Driver Name: nvd3dum.dll Driver File Version: 8.17.0012.6724 (English) Driver Version: 8.17.12.6724 DDI Version: 9Ex Driver Model: WDDM 1.0 Driver Attributes: Final Retail Driver Date/Size: 2/23/2011 04:27:00, 10079336 bytes WHQL Logo'd: No WHQL Date Stamp: None Device Identifier: {D7B71E3E-4090-11CF-C869-570A1CC2C535} Vendor ID: 0x10DE Device ID: 0x03D0 SubSys ID: 0x2A5B103C Revision ID: 0x00A2 Driver Strong Name: oem41.inf:NVIDIA_SetB_Devices.NTx86.6.0:Section001:8.17.12.6724:pci\ven_10de&dev_03d0 Rank Of Driver: 80E62001
