    Default Steam EB Installation Help

I'm not sure if this is the right part of the forum to ask this question, but anyways,
I cannot get Europa Barbarorum to work.

    Following these guides:

    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=272823
    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...11#post7180711

I attempted to make the game work after I downloaded the main EB1.1 file and the EB1.2 files from the EB website, but much to my dismay, I cannot get it to work. I followed the basic straightforward techniques as I did nod want to get into anything complicated, but I'm afraid I might have to.

I installed the two folders into my C:/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/rome total war gold/ folder like the guides said (I also downloaded all of the extra little things that came with the 1.1 file) but did not get any EB desktop shortcut like I was told I would.

I then created a new RTW shortcut from steam like the guides said, when I went to it's properties there was no target directory, unlike what the guides said. So then, I went to my EB folder in steamapps and copied the singleplayer shortcut to my desktop (as there was no original shrotcut). In this file there was a target directory and I inserted the recommended input but I was not able to save or apply the info as it kept saying that "C:/Program Files/" was invalid.

I then tried another method, going to the Games Library on Steam and changing the target destination of RTW to the EB one. This seemed to work and the game launched, but then when I tried to start a campaign it kept crashing.

    Help?

Modify your shortcut by adding -nm to its end if that is possible (it will disable movies), otherwise change it in EB's preference (EB\preference).
Be sure that you installed both 1.1 and 1.2 into the same folder, your main RTW folder, and that the fixes are at their right place.
