You have to run the game via the BI.exe
Just add "shield_wall" (without the quotation marks) at the end of the "formation" line of the unit you want to add it to in export_descr_unit.txt
More info can be found in the workshop
Thanks for info! where is the workshop at?

Make sure you do it to the right folder. If you're playing the Rome campaign, you'll need to do it in the export_descr_unit.txt file of the play_rome folder.
Ok will do, what about custom battles is there away to do that.![]()
I can not find the battles only, file anywhere. So where would a file be that could alter formations be for custom battles?![]()
Can't remember; long time since I had RSII installed. Can anyone help on this?
DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! Thanks for help Sir,![]()
Errr... doesn't this stop them from using Testudo (which I know they have/should have available, because it's in one of the patches)?

Shieldwall can be pretty unstoppable when used correctly. Testudo is rather, erm, useless.
Testudo has only been useful to me in approaching walls, especially when the walls have archers on them.... :/
The machine guns in the towers seem to go right past the testudo, though.
Testudo is probably the most useless special ability.
Almost as useless as that one where the barbarians scream at youlol.
I put shieldwall for all mah legionaires in the roman EDU.
