Default The final avatar skills in bow tree

Is it possible that someone who is going for the bow style avatar upgrade can explain to me about the final skill: sniping
"if hidden already, your avatar and his bodyguards can shoot without betraying their position. Only work while stationary"

From what I understand, your general can't hide at all. Will that final upgrade give your gen the ability to hide or is that skill as useless as the "save replay" button at the result screen? I can't see any prior upgrade that allow him to hide either

Not sure, but the final leadership skill is so good that I'm not sure if even a hidden general is worth passing it by. +2 morale to the entire army, regardless of how close they are to the general? Sweeet

i have used 2 of the 3 specializations and my partner the 3rd. ALL of them confer extreme advantages when maxed out, and the sniping ability DOES let your general go hidden like any normal unit. you must pick a skill set that fits they way you want to play, but if you go bowman your general WILL BE the best archery unit on the field, and indeed in the game. We're talking head shots from 200 meters that monk bowmen can only dream of and 1/2 the time the enemy doesn't even see that you are doing it cause u can fire hidden. think of an uber bezerk horse archer on steriods and that is pretty much what your general becomes.

Yeah, they've balanced the trees pretty well it seems. I'm still combat specced, which works pretty well too. Charged a leadership general inside a unit of naganita samurai out of desperation... and won!

I never lose against a general who is not leadership, my army gets boosted by all of my skills making them better than his army. Whats better, 1 Combat-Unit that is very strong but routs the whole army if dead, or 1 Passive-Unit that boost 19 other units? Let me guess...

Its not as clearcut as you might think... you really dont understand quite how godlike a combat general is once you click the banzai button. Puts the stats on my katana hero to shame.

It all comes down to how you play. I'm not confident enough yet to say combat is better, but it's certainly no worse.

I'm running maxed leadership right now. I'm one of about 4 players I've run across that uses Matchlock units(Samurai/Monk). If I get the chance I can use 'Inspire' on the Matchlock unit then initiate 'Stand and Fight' With the veterancy my units have(each point in reload and accuracy confers a 10pt increase on the numerical graphs) they fire retardedly fast. The only drawback is that even with the 'Inspire' and 'Rally' cooldown skills you only get to use them once per match

I had to consume several clan tokens on Respecs though because my general's Skill tree would bug out and I wouldn;t be able to assign anymore points unless I respec'd which immediately cleared up the problem.

I'll give combat a try eventually. the 'No Penalty to Spears' and Increase bodyguard size are pretty damn awesome. You end up paying ludicrous amounts of gold to field the General. at least then you can completely remove the Bonus to Cavalry stats and have a full size unit
