Reform! - Suggestion/Discussion

Now, to preface, I am no modder. I do not know if this is possible. All I know is that it would be really, really cool (and greatly add to the immersion).

When you press the 'rally' button for generals, typically a horn sounds and the general yells, in his best croaking medieval battlefield voice, "Reform, you spineless women!".
Now, for many of the factions this simply does not fit. My suggestion, therefore, is to make each faction (or, if that's not possible, each culture) have their own unique reform cry.

Therefore, here is a list of the different cultures/factions, and an appropriate cry. This list is not complete, nor is it final. It's merely a suggestion .

Dunedain:
Gondor: "Do not give in to fear! Stand to your posts! FIGHT! "
Arnor:?

Northmen:
Rohan: "Reform the Lines! Reform the lines!" (Ala theoden at Pelennor) or "Forth, Eorlingas! "
Eriador: ?
Dale: ?

Followers of Melkor:
Mordor: "Kill them all!"
Rhun/Harad: ?
Gundabad/MM Orcs: ?
Isengard: ?

Elves:
High Elves: "Auta i lóme! Aurë entuluva!"
Silvan Elves:

Dwarves: "Baruk Khazad! Khazad ai-Menu!"

Please, fill in the blanks or give better suggestions.

I got goose bumps when Eomer gave his speech before the great cavalry charge at Minas Tirith. Thousands of soldiers screaming 'DEATH' does that to a guy I guess.

I would absolutely love if this was even possible to implement.

As audio files are linked to each unit type, i dont see a reason why it cannot happen. In terms that every general of faction would use the same cry. Only thing is to make appropriate content for each faction and record it in good quality.
And for that i think more important than actual quotes would be right pronounciation/ accents.

MM Orcs: Back to battle you skulkers! Or i will feast on your flesh! (probably too much words for an orc)
Isengard: Fight uruk-hai! They will break soon...

Arnor: Remain brave Dúnedain! Victory is at hand!

Harad: I want that horn from movie.

Best part of the books. Worst part of the movies because of the potential it had.

Isengard: We are the fighting Uruk-Hai!!!!!!

But with so many other units maybe this wouldn't fit so maybe

Isengard: Servants of the White Hand, TO WAR!!!!!!!!!!!

or something like that.

I think i may just have a few ideas.Warning they may or may not be bad.

Isengard:Reform the lines, fighting Uruk-hai!To night we will taste man flesh!
Isengard:Stand and fight,for the white hand!
Isengard:We are the fighting Uruk-hai!We can't be stopped!

Mordor:Reform the lines,you orcs!Pikes in front archers behind!
rhun or harad:Rally men of the east!
Aragorn's speech at the black gate or at least part of it,maybe nice for one of the good factions to have.

I think Saruman's (and if possible that Dunlending's) should be different from the Uruk-hai. Something tells me he didn't go around screaming "Tonight we will eat man-flesh!"

I said it was the worst part because of the potential it had. Have you read the books? Because if you haven't then I suggest that you do and then maybe you would agree with me that the scene in the books is much better. Of course it is a matter of personal opinion and in general I prefer books to movies.

Cos that would mean that eitehr you'll have Saruman shouting "looks like meats back on the menu boys" or whatever or the uruk-hai still shouting human-ish ones. Either way I'd say it'd be easier to just stick with vanilla.

FroME I didn't played that, but I'm quite sure Saruman's with Isengard, and a Dunland faction is added.
Also, I don't think Saruman would like to shout on the battlefield.
So perhaps thats his 'guards' to shout for him?

You must remember that it shouldn't be something too important, because players rally alot, and it would be silly if in one battle Aragorn yelled 10 times, "This day we fight , I bid you stand, Men of the West!!!"

It's something about morale thingy....
so if the units don't lost morale, you just don't need to.
So that means your skills are nice?

Pretty much yeah.

And when my units their morale starts to lower it is already too late, so I don't bother anymore.

haha i rally constantly. I don't think it ever actually helps. I jsut get bored
