Enabling Steam Ingame Community causes game to not launch

The title of this thread pretty much says it all. Sometimes when I try to play the game, I will click play and a menu will pop up and say it's loading, but the game won't actually load up. Sometimes it will be listed as a process in the task manager, but not as an application, so I force quit it.

Deselecting the "enable ingame community" box lets the game start up, but it's sort of a pain because the ingame community is useful for setting up games with friends.

Anyone have this kind of problem? This happens to me on quite a few of my Steam games.

I disabled the 'ingame community' a long time ago. I think it may have caused a problem when I played COD on-line (not COD MW2 or COD BO)..... I did have it on before for a while.

It's posted all ove the ETW and NTW forums at .com, probably in TWS2 by now, too.

When you say "it," do you mean the problem or a solution?

Both.

Problem = Steam community.
Solution = disable in Steam.

Right... but I don't want to disable it unless I absolutely have to because it's convenient for setting up games with friends.

Then tell Steam support. It is their baby, not CA's.
