Unbelieveably stupid comments. Japan sits on the 'ring of fire' fault zone which is why it is an alpine mountainous country. These earthquakes are entirely expected and Japan has a high rate of preparation. This fact gives it a lower casualty rate than in the disasters that occur regularly in Pakistan, Iran, Turkey and Haiti.

I find this reasoning to be infantile,what was the reason for the disaster in Pakistan?
This was a natural disaster,bound to ocur at some point,it was unavoidable consequence of techtonic plate area being heavily populated,coincidence,not punishment.Disaster happens all the time,in every town and village,its called life.
