can't play in ultra anymore! I found the solution!

Steam has just downloaded a small patch, and ultra is now locked?
Some of you have the same?


ps: I precise that I have a very good computer and I had no problem to play at max!

EDIT SOLUTION:

Ok, I found the solution: you go to your preferences scripts (C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Shogun2\scripts)
Look at the line gfx_video_memory which is set to 0 now , change that number to 2036870912 and it works! I have ultra again now!

Yeah, mine appears to have slowed down a little bit, but I'm not sure. They seem to be making it worse with every successive patch, not better. If they mess me up anymore I'll just delete the patches and never go online!

I went to open shogun to be told that another instance of it was already running!!! Then after closing down the ninja shogun (which was odd and a little bit scary) running I restarted it only to find even the menu screens lagging like crazy

Ah it decided to put me on ULTRA ULTRA ULTRA I HAD A KAJILLION DOLLAR COMPUTER mode settings. Back at humble low now

I didn't see my Shogun 2 updating so I tried to verify integrity of local data... 1 file missing.

Guess what it did after that?

I've not seen a download - I just fired up the game. I was playing yesterday at this time and later in the afteroon as well.

yeah I set it to not auto-update after hearing the disaster in the recent patch. The game's working just fine now, really don't need CA waltzing in and ruining it.

Unless they've fixed the reinforcement bug, in that case I want to try it.

usually setting the game to not auto-update doesn't work. the only sure way to prevent steam fro, updating is to run in offline mode. i learned that the hard way.

I have had my Steam client open all morning and have had no whispers of a new patch being downloaded.
