Impossible to start campain

It's impossible, for me, to start a campaign ( any faction ), infact whenever i try to start a new one it suddently come back to the first page ( the one where there are Chaos storm, tutorial etc.. ) making the mod unplayable...

How can I fix that?

I'm running on windows 7, steam installed M2TW and Kingdoms, version 1.4.4 of the mod downloaded by torrent ( this archive --> http://www.gameupdates.org/details.php?id=4533 )

I forgot to add the log file...

try deleting the map.rwm (search for it in your Call_of_Warhammer directory), then try to start a new campaign.

Did not fix my problem - same happens :S

Exactly the same here, it is impossible to start a campaign, each time I try the game sends me back to main menu.

Please some help

EDIT: I followed boatie's instructions and it somehow worked, not for long because yes the campaign starts and loads, but during the loading a CTD occurs

are you all using a steam version of the game or a normal CD platfrom?

I have the same error, i dont use steam, Sometimes it even crashes whenever i click on a factions icon in the campaign menu before playing. When it doesnt and i click "start campagin" it just pulls me back.
Its a shame this game is so freaking buggy as the material itself seems badass, but almost unplayable with the buggs.

which version do you have installed, i have slight suspension you have not installed the English patch.

I have experienced the same problem but only with the torrent version

I actually have the englsih translation,i dont know anything about any english patch aside from the translation.

I have the torrent version yes, does nayone then knows a working link to a non-torrent able download?

I have just downloaded this mod and at first play I managed to start a new campain, even though all the text was in Russian. But after downloading and unzipping the English text, I can't start a new campain?
I have deleted the map.twm as suggested elsewhere.

Any other ideas?

I have the same problem. Using the ready to play 1.4.4 english torrent, lol irony.
