    Default Your Religious Beliefs?

Vote and discuss freely. I'm personally an Atheist and since a young age I don't feel any inclination for religion. What about you?

I am a non-denominational Protesant Christian. I believe many of the churches incorrectly interpret scripture, and I am against religous teachers needing a college degree and approval from higher ups. I have nothing against organised religion, but I don't really belong to it.

Protestant Christian. And one who believes that most modern day churches need to start preaching the gospels and stop with the Political talk.

I'm actually very interested in this, especially since Armenia was the first Christian nation.

How similar are our beliefs? Like what do you guys believe you must do to go to heaven, about the creation of the world, the role of Old Testament prophets and Jesus himself?

Compared to what? Yes, we do believe in the Old Testament and the creation and the bible and all that stuff, but the key difference between Roman Catholics and Oriental Orthodox is that OOs believe that Jesus is one being......well, something like that. I'll get back to you on that.

Edit: here is some on Oriental Orthodoxy in general

And here is on Armenian Apostolic Orthodoxy

In my opinion Teachers (pastors and priests) don't get their authority from God anymore but from man. If they were given their authority by God they don't need a degree and approval from a man all they need is clarity and knowledge from God about the scriptures.

I'd much rather have a coal miner who called to preach and started preaching, then a man who decided to become a pastor and got a degree in Theology from Harvard...

Will a moderator please remove atheist from the poll choices?

It's not a possible answer to the question.

The question is about what religious beliefs we do have, not those we don't.

Its perfectly appropriate; it means someone without God. And God being the centre of religion...
