Problems after install

After I´ve installed 6.3, they I launch the launch.exe, but than I get a window...
excuse that i can`t write that text from the window in english, i don`t know the words in english: (in german) Diese Anwendung konnte nicht gestartet werden, weil die Anwendungskonfiguration nicht korrekt ist. Zur Problembehebung installieren sie die Anwendung bitte neu.

Sorry that I write it in german, I hope somebody can help me...

This application could not be started, because the application configuration is not correct. For problem recovery install the application please again.

reinstall, make sure you have uac etc etc.

i haved reinstalled it for two times. i`ve read that these thing with uac ( i don`t know what ist it) its just for windows 7 and vista. I running windows xp sp3

might be a bad download...post your log and specs and which download you used.

it have not write a logfile i´ve downloaded it from megaupload the .bin files...

unexpected error open your SS.System.log file in \Medieval II Total War\logs\ with Word, OO or notepad and include the last 10 lines (6.3 needs 100 lines or better yet the full log as zipped attachment) in your post. In case you are posting more then 10 lines be sure to use a spoiler tag enclosing the log (use [ spoiler ] contents of system.log [ /spoiler ] without the spaces).6.3 users should access their log from start menu -> stainless steel -> error log.


***just reread post...did you run sssetup.exe after the install before the ss6.3.exe?
