Weather and Waiting to Deployment
Like the title says.
How much does weather effect a battle and certain units? Also when I attack I can wait to deploy but what are the benefits besides better weather? Does it wait until my next turn to redeploy and tie the unit up? Does it allow me to use another turn to replenish my men? Do I get another turn to reinforce the deployment?

Rain can reduce the effectiveness of archer units (wet bow strings) and gunpowder units (wet powder) and I don't think you can use fire arrows in rain either. Yet to test how this works on fire bomb throwers (I'm sure it's the same as normal) and cannons and other ranged siege (again, I'm sure it's the same). In Shogun 1 it would tell you if it was slight or heavy rain, I've not noticed on S2 if there are different degrees of weather, or snow (I have graphics uber low you see).
As for waiting for redeployment. I think you get three different 'rolls' of the weather dice. You can either accept one of the first two or have the third one forced upon you! It doesn't tie up an army inbetween turns.

Weather also affects visibility. having dense fog sucks arse because you cant see anything and if its a big battle you will be surprised. also with fog dont stare at the screen too long else its almost like snow blindness
