    Default Can you block landbridges?

That is, can you prevent an enemy army from crossing if you place a navy on top (SS included) of the landbridge ?

I have had AI stop me from moving across. Also, I believe, I have been successful at blocking the AI the same way. I had a weak garrison + a fleet sitting on the straights while the AI had a huge army on the other side. The AI never crossed.

Yeah I can't cross a landbridge if an enemy fleet is there.

You definitely can. I just had this happen playing as the Mori. The Shoni declared war on me and sent a full stack across the landbridge between us. Unfortunately for them, I've been kicking their butts at sea and just happened to park a fleet in the gap, which prevented any further crossings and isolated their initial invasion. They've got another full stack trying to get across and reinforce, but it can't.
