    A lot of players find that archers are firing too fast but a good archer shoot 8 to 12 arrows in a minute... so, in Vanilla it's underpowered not overpowered in comparison to reality.
    I play with a lot of soldiers, thats the solution, archers don't appear overpowered to me because there are a lot of others types of soldiers.

    This mod was made to work with movement reduction, to balance it out for those that thought archers got an unfair advantage. This mod will not get improved further as it does what it is made to do.

    Some people like archers to shoot faster, this mod is not for them. Some like them to shoot even slower, this mod is not for them either There will definitely come mods that balance archers in other ways than firing speed and I may even make one or two myself when that time comes and it requires rebalancing of all units to get it right. I will most likely, in that time, reduce accuracy by a lot and differentiate between the different archers where range and damage is concerned also. So, when the time comes....

    100% agreed! Samurai were well trained with the bow - they were experts, so surely they'd be able to shoot further and be more accurate than Bow Ashigaru?

    Edit: @OP - Good work, this was needed as the slower units speed made them easy work for the archers.

    what if ashigaru fire faster,more inacurate, lower ranged shots because of the weak training.they compensate lack of skills with firing as fast as they can.

    samurai would be like reverse of this.they land shots effectively only at a slightly reduced rate of fire due tu aiming.

    I may be wrong, but I just tested this along with other mods (movement speed reduction + morale + some cosmetic ones) but, I think you may have missed the entry for "Oda Bow ashigaru" because they have a higher reload value then all other units now (even chosokabe). Overall it seems good but again the oda could be a bit OP with this mod installed. It may be a conllict with another mod but I doubt it as no other mod I'm trying edits unit stats.

    Oda Bow Ashigaru is supposed to have a higher reload rate than all the others, as all Ashigaru are their special units. I took 20% off the original value for everyone, but the ration would still be the same. So it is not wrong.

    I would rather have a reduced accuracy mod; the problem is no the lethality or rate of fire, as much as that every single farmer with a bow can accurately judge angle, movement and flight time for long-range shots.
    If heroes/monks were at the ashigaru's accuracy, the samurai had another 20-30% inaccuracy (larger spread), and the ashigaru at least twice the spread they have now, archers would still be lethal point blank, but not at range unless used against Huge Blobs (tm).

    But you forget the first post, where it states the reason it was made to counter the Movement Reduction mod.

    I will when the time comes make a more extensive edit of archers but I just don't have time to edit all this in hex, and I don't want to hurry any project along for the sake of publishing mods. When the tools are ready to decode the files I need it'll only take a short time to do. Accuracy is laughable in this game. You know what? I had Bow Samurai with 96 in accuracy in my last game. I just shook my head. If it'd be one elite unit with 1500 upkeep or something, sure, but I could build them to my heart's content.

    So, no, this particular mod won't address anything else than it already does but, yes, I will make another one later on. In fact I'm most likely going to make many smaller mods, like a smorgasbord, where people can just pick what they like and use it instead of downloading a bigger mod where the likelihood is high that there's some feature or other you don't particularly want.

    Minor update to make it compatible with mods not altering missile units. It may also be worth to check out the missile rebalance mod that I just uploaded as it contains more extensive tweaks and balancing.

    I know this isnt historically correct but I wanted my battles to have many more casualties and I find quite fun to see bodies flying, so I made it that firearms and the European cannons fire much more quickly and have much more ammunition. However now my game crashes at the logo screen.

    If anyone would be so kind to look at the edited pack that I used and explain to me why it crashes it would be very much appreciated. I know its this specific pack because If I remove it the game doenst crash.

    If this offends the original creator of this mod for whatever reason I will be glad to remove this post.

    is there a chance that You'll change the DLC daikyu units reload rates too ? I know that editing unit stats land tables with the latest shogun patch is a pain.

    Hi, i have noticed that the newest patch interfere with this mod and the spread formation button is invisible in custom and campaign battles.
