Default Cheating husband? NO it's the WAIFE!

    http://img29.imageshack.us/i/2011032200003.jpg/

    my successor got cuckold

wonder if its because his wife was from the hattori clan and ninja women are geisha?

maybe it was karma, his dad died right after i ended the turn and his first move as daimyo is to make his uncle commit seppuku XD

and the funny thing is, when the kid was born, i coulda swear the name was minamatsu. i really liked that name too.... now i'm gonna have to start a new campaign cuz i'm disappointed.....

It's a little hard to see really... is seems like the boy is named differently from his 'father'? Could it be an adoption at early age? I have a hard time imagining a samurai lord would allow any son to be named from a different family, his own or not. And neither would the mother. It would be a blatant admission of her... act. Not something I think would have been terribly popular.

poor qualily can be blamed on my 4 year old laptop and its tiny screen.

but seriously if the kid was adopted, the surname would be changed to Shimazu, instead i got tanegeashima. the general of my 2nd best fleet has that name but then again, so does the generals of a couple others of my trade fleets.

I don't get it. The faction leader and the faction heir both have the same family name. The second name in their full name is their first name.

So, Shimazu Kagetsugu belongs to the Shimazu Clan naturally.

re-read my first post. i said the successor got cuckolded not the big man himself. so look at the 3rd generation.

Try uploading on imageshack again, but change it to "Do Not Resize", it is on by default. We would be able to read it then.

I think the mouse over at the child shows his name as Tanegashima Norikane, a rather weird occurrence in the Shimazu family line.

The kid from the daimyo's son's family is named with a different family name than any of them, indicating the wife was foolin around on the side.

*Sigh*... I was hoping this thread was a joke, but seeing the direction of where this is going, but better make something clear before it actually mislead future readers. To put it simply, that child's full name will be Shimazu Tanegashima Morikane (Something else), in the order of clan name, title/region where he was born, genpuku (or given name at birth) and finally (Adult name when he comes of age).

To put it in "Western" language, his name is Morikane of Tanegashima. Nothing scandalous about that, is there?

I'm really hoping that's just a childhood name tho. But if you were to put it in strict Japanese it'll be Tanegashima-no-Morikane.

That is true, if the person in question is traveling to a foreign territory. Or if the person had perform a fantastic feat of some sort that causes people to recognize him to a specific region/adjective. In family names, it is simply written without the adjective "no" which means the person is born there, as if to distinguish him from other person of the same name in the family.

Guess we'll have to wait till the coming of age to see whether it goes away or not
