retail vs steam

I haven't been able to find anything on any differences between versions. Does the steam version come with extra units like i've seen on some other game or anything like that, because if not i'd rather buy a retail version with a manual and all. Or are there several versions of both?

Both install on steam, but it seems buying in store comes with other perks.

Thats because there are no differences. There the same.

You need Steam for both though.

They are the same , unless you mean Limited Edition which gives 1 additional Hattori clan to play and additional Historical battle + xp for your avatar.
