    Default Crash on Campaign

    Hello.

    Earlier today, I tried to load Medieval II Total War Gold (not purchased from Steam) on my computer. The game loaded fine, went through all the cutscenes, and took me to the main menu. I decided to start a new campaign as the English. I put in my preferred settings, and started the campaign. It took me through the little intro movie and showed the loading screen. However, once the bar was full the game simply crashed.

    I tried again with the default settings, but it still crashed. No error, just a total crash. How can I resolve this?

    What does the system.log.txt say?

    Have you installed the motherboard chipset drivers for Win 7?

    If you bought the retail version of Win 7, why 32bit with 8gigs of ram? This thing is using less than 40% of it.
