    Default Firefox 4

Firefox 4 drops tomorrow, but you can get it now. Anybody used it already? What do you think of it?

Apart from burying the history tab, which I really don't like, I'm really pleased with this browser.

I've had it since beta 5 in November-ish. Its very very good. Especially now that add-ons are becoming more compatible.

Not yet, sadly. They did split plugins off into a separate thread from the browser itself a while back, though. So Flash crashing (like it has a tendency to do at times) no longer brings down the whole browser.

Does this solve the memory leakage problem? Up to at least 3.6, Flash and probably other things had a habit of assigning more and more memory to Firefox, which wouldn't be released in full even after the tabs had been closed.

Does it have GPU acceleration? Will it finally pass the Acid 3 test? Dun dun dun!

Ehhh, tried it didn't like it. Seems to be the same speed as Chrome for me, and all the add-ons seem a little too much extra.

Nope, it still doesn't. Google Chrome does, though.

That is why I prefer Chrome.

If it can't pass the Acid 3 (which it fell 3 points short of) it's not even worth trying to develop for.

Just got it (2 mins after I saw this thread). I had the beta since it first appeared, it was good and the final version rocks, too. Also it is fast.

There are no add-ons for Chrome that are worth getting. I stopped caring about there. The only good aspect of Chrome is Incognito mode for ... buying gifts ...

EDIT: I just tried Acid 3, for me Chrome failed by a point. Only Opera passed.

This is so subjective! You can say "I don't like any of the extensions" but not "there are no good ones." Right now I have:

    Adblocker Plus
    Awesome Screenshot
    Google Mail Checker Plus
    Facebook Disconnect
    IE Tab Classic
    PHP Console
    Price Blink (OMG SO HANDY!)
    Simple Profanity Filter
    StayFocusd
and Ultimate Chrome Flag installed, and they're all working fantastically. I make use of them all every day.

Then that's likely your PC. Chrome 10 scores a 100 every time for me.

Have been using this for the last few days and I've gotta say I much prefer it to the previous versions but it comes nowhere near close to Chrome for me. They've really tried to take what's good from Chrome and twist it in their own way, and you can tell just by the interface. Here's a comparison:

That's the new Firefox on the front and behind it is Chrome.

I certainly like it but I'll stick to Chrome for now.
