Icon10 Hidden gems on the battlemaps

I was playing a rather boring seige early against the AI on the standard small castle by coast map and decided to have a look around and was pleasantly suprised by what i found.

    A nice, decent sized Village.

Another small village, this time by the rivers mouth

Yet another village at the bottom of the cliffs (Yes thatrs right guys, that HUGE cliff the castle sits upon aint just a cliff!)

And the best, saved till last. We all thought Maku camps wouldnt make it into the game.....

These little details just make the game even more amazing in my eyes. Its just a shame that these places are in areas which are both iunaccessable and not very noticeable.

    I love it.

Just pausing before the infantry meet, and looking at the entire world.

One time my heir was fighting near this fishing village. There were seagulls in the air, and in the distance I could see the outlines of three nearby castles, amidst the rolling hills. A torii arch, and a small shrine in the foreground.

It is a really stunning landscape.
    Forward, march!

Has anyone else found anything interesting on the maps?

Only problem with the siege maps is that all of them are identical in terrain. (ie all mountain maps have have the same terrain).

Still don't get why CA made this design choice. Lusted said it was for gameplay considerations. But come on! I don't even care if the castle layout is the same, at least have some terrain variation!

That's a siege on a cliff right? Ya I hate those, ALL of the cliff castles are the same map.

I found a group of three deer grazing on the grasslands between the two armies. They kept looking up and around and finally bolted as the armies drew within archery range of each other. It quite distracted me from getting my ashigaru into proper order...
Your technique is ... magnificent ...

I saw a bunch of deer too, when I was marching all my infantry up a flank hidden in a forest. I was surprised and very impressed.

I swear i saw Jesus comanding the Black Ship while Britney Spears was singing on the foredeck. Which makes it clear why my namba boat surrendered.

This game is beautiful. Random wildlife distract me from the killing

I did enjoy looking at deer running around the place. Of course i am now wondering is it possible to kill them with archers
