If you still have doubts just wait a few weeks for patches/hotfixes and then see if there are still as many negative reviews.

Worth it to me, best TW ever in my opinion....ten years and owned every one except that turd Alexander; this is the one I've had the least amount of things toabout and had the most fun playing.

"...I'll look for something else. We're surrounded by water. Why are we eating knob?"
I think it's worth the money (I've never played TW game that wasn't tbh), then again this is coming from a guy who randomly found a $50 gift card in the back of this wallet.
If you haven't already - try the demo then make up your mind.
Overall the game has some annoying issues, both graphical/performance and gameplay-wise at the moment but still.....gnarly game!
However it doesn't beat the legend that is ROME:TW in my book
I'd give it a high 8 low 9 outta 10

I played Empire for about 400 hours.... sad I knowbut it was definatly value for money even if a little frustrating for the first 3 months or so till darth and others had a few mods out
Shogun seems awesome so far in my opinion, Ive not had any problems so far, mainly been playing on normal and hard and enjoroying it. Definatly a good game, how much you want it though is obviously down to personal choice.

True, but then whilst im frustrated at CA for Empire, and some other notorious bugs in the past, I dont begrudge them their money, Total war even a buggy one tends to be worth at least £29.99 (what I payed for Empire I think?) I just considered it a "pre order" and went back to kingdoms till mods and a few patches were out,
Simple fact is there is nothing as good as Total war for me when it comes to value.... every other game I get bored of and go back to a total war. I'd rather CA got my money and were able to release more games... its like my empire money was an investment in nappy and shogun and they were good investments as far as im concerned![]()
Get the game - you will not regret. If you will - send me you copy and I will give you money back...
Its not as good as M2TW, but much, much better then Empire and Napoleon... Its worth the money
I will wait for modding tools. If there will be no modding tools (same like on Empire TW), I´m not going to buy it!
Very good rocking song. The message of the song: WHEN PEOPLE LEARN TRUTH ABOUT UKRAINIAN WAR, THEY WILL GO INSANE!! (I suggest to turn the english subtitles on. Its over 18only because of violent pictures) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AAR6nUV7VI
I havent bought the game but i will in two weeks (got too much work from my job right now). I hear a lot of positive reviews and good scores (the polls floating around here on the forum) about it.
It sounds like its a very solid game!
As for Empire: its worth the money aswell! I love the game! I play it with DarthMod and its epic. I play all older TW titles with mods actually. M2TW = Stainless Steel (most of the time). R:TW = usually a Greek mod (Diadochi Total war or XGM, something like that).
In short the answer in my opinion is yes. The game is a huge improvement over any other TW games diplomacy system. This game is perhaps the first TW game that has had a diplomacy system that does remember actions, and rewards/punish for them immediately and in the future. The Campaign AI is much better in this game as now the AI is more aggressive and gives more of a challenge across all difficulty levels. This may be a good thing or bad thing depending on your preferred style of play or your skill level.
I have purchased and played all the TW games since Rome total war with the exception of the Alexander expansion for R:TW. I also have used several mods across the years with each and every one of those games, and i really like this game as it is straight out of the box. Although i would prefer some unit tweaks and AI tweaks i don't regret spending $50bucks on this game and perhaps you wont either.
Try the DEMO and see if that catches your attention.
Best game since Rome imo. MTW2 was a very good game, but I simply can't play it without mods. It's way too easy. STW2 is awesome at vanilla level(and quite hard tbh), imagine what it would be like in 2 month's time or so.
the best tw game I've ever played
wait for patches n stuff, then buy it from a cheap seller on amazon, don't spend 50 on it
