Will my CPU limit this Card??
I have been considering an upgrade for awhile and now and was wondering if anyone could pipe in with some advice.
Current system:
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (clawhammer core)
1 Gig of Ram
X800 Xl (XT core underclocked) AIW AGP Bus
I initially wanted to add more ram (have one more slot available ) but there is some bug with the clawhammer core that if you try to add more then two sticks of memory it down clocks the memory speed so scrapped that idea (unless I spring for two new gig sticks).
I want a 7800 GT and up until a couple weeks ago that wasnt doable as there was no AGP support for the card.
Now that the card is available what should I do? Should I just upgrade the graphics card or will my CPU bottleneck me and prevent the card from working at full capacity?
If thats the case I will get a whole new system as planned ( Athlon 64 X2 4400, 2 gigs ram, sli board probably asus, 7800 gt gpu)
Any input would be appreciated !

Do you really need a new GPU? Is their any game you can't run at decent quality settings?
The best AGP card out there is still the Radeon 850 XT PE, and if you look at this review you can see that the x800XL isn't that far behind it.
A better option IMHO would be to try to OC your card a little bit instead.
