Bomb Throwers

Hello everybody, does anyone have a space for these in their multi-player army? If so how can they be used with any degree of success?

I've never used them myself, but I played one match where they were used against me. My opponent advance them just behind a line of spears and katana. As our lines met, the throwers lobbed bombs into my men. The battle was frantic so my memory is fuzzy, but I think this crushed my soldiers' morale because my army rolled up moments later. It was a quick and total defeat, the worst I've experienced. Our armies were fairly even, so I have to think that the bombs made the difference.

They are unreliable, very dependant on terrain. More often than not the bomb throwers haven't been able to aim accurately, and so the bombs hit the backs of my own troops, resulting in some pretty terrible morale boosts.

I don't think they are worth the hassle, but perhaps if you're really good at micromanaging they could be a good asset.

So I guess we can safely say they are a bit of a wildcard unit. They can turn a battle, but both for and against you.
