    Icon4 Multiplayer lan issue

Hey guys just seeing if anyone else might have some input on this, a friend of mine and I were playing a co op game on the multiplayer network which kept crashing "7 times in a row" at about turn 7. So we decided to try hamachi and play a LAN base game through a hamachi network or virtual lan whatever you call it.

Long story short we couldnt get a game to appear via hamachi we tried in both on and offline mode in steam.

    Any advice???

We also followed a few hamachi tweaking videos to put hamachi on top of the list under networks etc still nothing.

We were able to play on a LAN offline before the patch; but we did it by searching for the host's name.
Since last friday, we have been unable to connect, when trying through Steam friends, we get the host computer doesn't respond message. We were finally able to connect online by using the friends feature and joining the game, but that only worked about once in 10 attempts.
Using a network multiplayer campaign connection, can't see the host game, no matter what filter we use, offline or online.

there is no LAN option? they took it out - for Empire and since. Everything has to go through Steam....even if you are sat next to one another. Stupid. Chained to the cloud, brilliant, no?

    No lan option?

I see the option in multiplayer but it just doesnt seem to work lol and so your saying basically if we try enough times on steam itll probably let it through ill have to try it out.

If anyone could drop more advice im wide open to suggestions

    Thanks
