Honor

My daimyo as the Shimazu has practically no honor despite the fact I honor all treaties and usually enter war either to help an ally or after I have been attacked. I have 15 provinces, a productive economy, and a very large army of samurai, but no one is willing to be my ally because of my low honor. Any advice on how to raise it further?

I think this might be personal honour, not clan reputation. Try winning a few (heroic victories if possible) battles with your leader and a few techs, retainers and leveling skills offer honour bonuses.

When you capture provinces have you been looting them? I believe this lowers honour also
