A well thought through, professionally done Realm Divide alternative/fix.

I like all these.
mabe some other country to fight also. China or Korea.
Korea or China as nations. A long shot, but then again I am hopeful since Shogun 2 has renewed my faith in the CA.I'd personally love to take the Mori to Korea and kick some ass, or come to Japan with the Chinese and deal out some punishment.
Armour upgrades being visable.
More Sabotage videos.

Because it can be challenging and adds to the fun? Also it is more realistic than just one by one picking off the other Clans.Originally Posted by Admortis
No I think units , and technologies are fine ....
What I woul dadd instead are :
1 Lot of more diplomatic options
2 New videos
3 a decent CGI ending
4 bug fix for multiplayer
5 poissibility to play a simoultaneouse strategic and tactic war of the clans online ( I mean real clans played by players ) on the map
6 possibility to see the avatar of the enemy ( since so far seems not working ) I 'd place the avatar of the enemy on the side of the description , just like when you see the clans in the single player campaign ....
7 Slower infantry
8 more historical battles
9 a chinese - korean map expansion / invasion?
10 and please more Diplomacy options:
1 possibility to exchange provinces
2 possibility to see the family tree of the enemies
3 possibility to arrange marriages and eventually inherit the other clan's regions
4 possibility to send troops or receive troops from allies or in exchange from vassals
5 possibility to point to allies the targets preferred for help ...
6 possibility to ransom captured enemy generals
7 possibility to infiltrate spies in the enemy court
8 possibility to decorate a Daimyo room with tropheis and stuff
9 possibility to exchange better gifts than just gold
10 possibility to exchange trade resources or food
11 possibility to become vassals in exchange for peace or protection and or get better vassal bonuses or options .
12 others to think of ...

I must agree with Prometheus,
I think the unit options are brilliant, and need no change at all, the current system is close to perfect!
The diplomacy really needs some help in terms of other options, BUT, I think with the options available it works really well.
I married my daughter off last night to an a really strong clan and now they're defeating my enemies, it's small touches like that which really shine for me, giving clands 2k Koku for a trade agreement...And they agree! Awsome!
But all the diplomacy changes listed above I'd like to see also.
Loose - Free or released from fastening or attachment "a loose tooth".
Lose - Be deprived of or cease to have or retain "I've lost my appetite".
I'd like to see my ninja get multiple grenades, and of course, any opportunity to create more blinged out unfairly powerful units.
More maps for castle battles. The two or three we have now is not enough.
Redone realm divide event that does not permanently destroy diplomacy.
Allow trading provinces.
none of your three examples would make me buy a add on! on of course no dlc!
how about the grand SDK tool? this I would buy!
- Ability to sign "Non-Aggression" treaties : would only last a specific number of turns , not permanent .
It would add depth to diplomacy and offer new strategical possibilities , if you sign a non-aggression treaty for 15 turns with someone , if this clan is attacked by another one , you are not obliged to be committed to his war and don't lose honour by ignoring it
- More trade nodes ( leather , porcelain , brass , silver etc.. ) and ressources
- Archers accuracy nerfed , Ashigarus archers are way too accurate and efficient as it stands , in real life they rarely decided the outcome of battles in the Sengoku Jidai period ( cavalry , quality infantry and later arquebus did on the other hand ) as the protections of ashigarus soldiers got better and better . But in the game , archers are almost always decisive and the accuracy of their volleys is absolutely amazing , even archery olympic champions could not match it , just look how the arrows land , it's way too accurate , especially for a peasant/militia grade of unit .
- Archers damage should also be really re-balanced , there is no way Ashigarus arrows would annihilate in less than 10 seconds a large cavalry unit of wealthy samurai wearing first grade laminated armours , like it is possible in the game , the damage is completely over-powered , like 1 arrow=1 dead , like .308 lapua magnum ... Ashigarus battalions of archers used "area volleys" in real life , only horse archers used to target a man specifically but they used to shoot at a much closer range .
CA should REALLY look again at the archers accuracy and damage in a patch , they were efficient against peasant ashigarus in real life , but less and less as the time went on and troops got better protected . Against samurai in armour and helmet (kabuto) , the damage of ashigaru peasant archers with simple bows and light arrows should definetely be lowered greatly . One other important thing about archers , is that they should be able to shoot farther when they are on a hill or elevated terrain , currently they don't ... which kills all the advantage of defending with archers on a hill or on the walls ..... We really need the archers implementation fixed , it was much better in M2TW ...
- I'd like a Korea invasion in an expansion , it would be awesome

I would like to see unit appearance change with upgrades, more sword variation, scabbards, more ashigaru types.
