In general's stats, +1 moral is self-explanatory, but what exactly does "command" do?

improves your General and the bonus the troops in his army gain (moral etc.)
Yeah, exactly WHAT stat-bonuses it brings to the nearby troops? And how exactly does the general get "command" experience during the battle? By the ammount of enemy troops killed within the influence zone? By the ammount of enemy troops killed by the general's bodyguard unit?
Morale. If you're new to the series, realize that morale significantly impacts unit performance.
It has nothing to do with how many troops the general kills himself, or how many die near him. To my knowledge, all that matters is the battle odds and troops. If you win a massive battle, your general gains a lot of XP; if you crush a two unit garrison with a sizeable army, there is minimal gain. And how exactly does the general get "command" experience during the battle? judge it roughly by whether the victory is pyhrric costly, decivsive, or heroic.
Isnt it attack and defense skill as well? I read that in a manual somewhere, back in M2TW i think? That the general's stars affect the army morale, attack and defense skill..
Idk.. It's so vague and unexplained, who really knows what goes on with those generals and stars and loyalty.
It's like "loyalty increases the happiness in the settlement the general is located", like, yeah ok.. But how? How much? Does it stack? Where can i see it?
Nowhere, nothing.
The answer, of course, would be all of th above. It increases troop morale, which in turn increases their performance. It makes auto battles tip in the generals favor. The most important, IMHO in Shogun 2 is the ability to replenish unite on the campaign map as well as the improvement in the Poet line. Also, in the Strategist line, the generals army will get bonuses to other stats than just morale.
