At start you should try two things. First make a trade arrangement with the Sagara in Hygo and then try to sway them to your side with an offer of alliance. You can arrange the last in a twofold way. You offer someone as hostage if possible or/and additionally you offer this clan a tribute payment of about 100 gold for around 15 turns. After you got the alliance you will have a freehand for warring with the Ito. You should go as soon as possible into the Osumi province before the Ito were able to build up some decent forces. After conquering the Osumi province with your Daimyo you should build some additional spear ashigaru in your capital and send them to your Daimyo and reinforce him before you went to the next province. But do not forget before that all to make this one general in your service to your heir. Then you should try to get some nice bride from the Sagara or even from the Ito. Then you can try to conquer the last Ito province where you should do no looting to beware some of your provinces going rebellious. After now getting two new provinces you should first improve your farms as soon as possible, then build either a market or a ninja house in Osumi. After that try to build as soon as possible a market in the other former Ito province. Do not build any such building in your Home province because you need with your Weaponshop only combat-related buildings like the yari drill yard, the archer dojo and the sword school and if possible the cavalry dojo. After recruiting any metsuke or ninja send him fast enough to the North to come into contact with other clans with which you can trade. Build up some forces in your capital and in the former Ito capital, but do not forget that you need eventually in both new provinces a garrison force with about two spear ashigarus. Upgrade some harbors if possible and attack Bungo if it is still owned by the Otomo. DO NOT invite your ally, because he could be there before you because he has some cavalry at hands. Then after conquering Bungo you can then assemble your both army stacks at the frontier to Higo and then simply break the alliance and then wait a turn. So you will get less diplomatic penalty as I have understand sofar. Then try to march with your armies into the province but be warned the enemy could do easily some assault on your nearest forces and he could eventually destroy the one or other and that will harm your following advance for some turns. If you do the troop marches in the right manner each army can support each other if the enemy attacks you. If you do it right you can even go for some ambush before the enemy turn. Then lead your Daimyo army stack to the enemy capital and choose the siege button. Then lead the other army near the city to support you in the city assault which you should now choose anew with the Daimyos Army. Then you will get possibly the Higo capital. Now you should have five fiefdoms at your hands. Now try to do some trade arrangements with your neighbours, but no alliances on Kyushu anymore. Build up your fiefdoms, especially farms and harbors and some market. But do not build anything else then combat-related buildings at Higo because you need some yari, sword and bow building fast together with the cavalry dojo. Any other building should be deleted at once. Concentrate your capital and the Higo province on troop development. Until now you should have researched the first three bushido techs and the three chi techs soon. Concentrate your research then for the buddhist temple and then for the next step in advanced farming. But be warned, before you accept any Nanban port building in your capital province you will get soon a very christian population in Sanuki which will eventually rebel if you stay buddhist. The buddhist warrior monks are simply the best on the battlefield you could get, but as a christian you will get cannons and cheap lockgun ashigarus via your Nanban port buildings after chossing Christianity. If you will stay buddhist you can hold one or two Nanban port buildings erected by conquered Clans. So if you think you are well prepared attack the Shoni clan to the North with two army stacks and try to hit them hard. If there are still two different clans in The north then you should loot both enemy castles, but NOT Hizen, there you will get warrior monks if you build a temple there and if you loot the province after building some military buildings together with a temple. If this province would become rebelious with such buildings you would have a very BIG problem because the rebels army would consist warrior monks. Therefore will be warned. After conquering all of Kyushu perhaps in the first 25 turns you will get the special steam achievement related to Kyushu. Then do the right: make some trade arrangements with all contacted enemy clans and now build up your harbors, your farms, some markets, some ninjahouses and if possible one additional temple, becausse you will need in your two main stacks a metsuke and a monk each. If you have two more metsukes then send them to your best and rich developed provinces to increase your income and later on improve their city administration skill for this guys first. The army metsuke should go after apprehension and bribung as soon as possible because sometimes your army will be confronted with more enemy troops you can withstand. Furthermore accompany both armies with a good Ninja agent scouting the area before you and warning you about enemy ambushes or Ninjas. In the meanwhile you should do two new things: first build a small decent army stack with some elite troops and give them to the heir. Your possibly third general with good loyalty should lead your second army. second build one or two stacks of max ten ships which should consists two medium Bune and eight traders, then send them to the next trading posts and if necessary attack any foreign stack and place your stack there. You will be awarded with some good income for the next steps. Build in two or three different harbors around six medium Bune and around eight bow bune ships and then form two fleets. In the meanwhile garrison Buzen with your heir army for some upcoming invasions and increase the garrisons for your Capital, Higo and Hizen for a better defence. And if you still have enough income in reserve build one or two new trader fleets and send them to the neighbouring trading ports. And build if still possible a good stack in reserve with around 4 medium Bune and 5 bow Bune and deploy this fleet in Bungo. Now you can consider your next steps and planning to attack Shikoku there you should invade Tosa first because of the wood special, then Iyo, then Sanuki(?) and then Awa. Now you get another steam achievement and perhaps the recognition of the current Shogun. If you do absolutely no looting during your campaign you will be now very prominent to all of Nippon and the Shogun will have an eye on you. So I suggest you that you do only three lootings to rich enemy provinces but not Higo or Hizen sofar. Now again build up your forces , make some trade arrangements and do not forget to marry your generals adopted in your clan to other clans brides and improve your relations especially to stronger clans. Then after improving your positions invade Kii regardless who owns the province with your both main armies then after KII there should follow Yamato and then Iga and Ise and then Settsu. Now you will have a greater recognition from the Shogun and any other clan you have encountered sofar. Improve as soon as possible this new provinces and the choose KII as your main Ninja training centre with spawning level 3 Ninjas and IGA as future Koshi NInja training centre. If you have chosen Hizen for recruiting good experienced warrior monks then you should choose the same with Yamato and in ISE you should go for the level three monk. Now you are in position to conquer Omi and Harima. Take first Omi if it was owned by the clan who owned the conquered provinces before. Prevent your enemies and allies to build better Ninjas and Monks as you should have now. Then try to attack with possibly new built elite armies and your best generals the western half of Honshu. Now you will possibly have more then 25 Provinces and now you are on your way to become Shogun for your own. Now if the SHogun is stiil in friendly terms with you you should bribe him with around 100 gold in the following 20 Turns as long as possible.
At this moment you should have some good metsukes, monks and Ninjas at your desposal and some of the Ninjas should go for any neighbouring clans buildings especially the specials and you should try to harm any enemy general coming your way if someone ist still unexperienced any foreign clan will be hampered as you try to kill most of its heirs and recruited generals in their capital. Until now you will eventually have only two or three enemy clans remaining besides the Ashikaga Shogun clan. So consider your next steps and prepare your best armies nearby Kyoto and let on each of your islands a big and cheap army stay behind. That means you need around three or four army stacks near Kyoto and two reserve armies behind you and you should own at minimum four trading ports west of Kyushu. Now deploy a fleet north of Buzen and another one near Bungo and the next one north of Izumi and one or two others near Settsu. Now you will have the opportunity to attack one of the neighbouring main enemy clans with minimum three armies, but let stay your best experienced army behind with your heir nearby Kyoto. Let the Daimyo lead your advance and support it thru an invasion behind the main enemy armies especially if your next neighbour is Tokugawa. Get the enemy capital and loot it you will be awarded by its richness. Then simply bring some cheap ashigaru force to it from behind to garrison it and let stay a good monk and a good metsuke behind. Then attack the main enemy forces with all three forces and try to lure them into any ambush possible to you. If you have captured until now the half of the fiefdoms of that enemy clan you should make peace with him and try to lure him into marriages and hostage giving sofar to settle the peace. Then stabilize your new provinces and improve your forces by resting them and then send your best Ninjas and if possible a Geisha to your next enemy and let them do some sabotaging and killings. Now you should have enough money to build two additional cheap ashigaru armies and bring them forward to the new frontier. Then if your Daimyo is alive and around five star good you should send him with your best troops back to the Kyoto area. Let your heir stay back from any attack and give one of your next best generals the command about the reserve army stack near Kyoto. Now attack Kyoto with both best equipped and experienced armies and now you can proclaim yourself Daimyo if you survived this battle. Now your enemy will attack you from his armies for the next four turns. But if you prepared yourself in the right manner with decent ambushes and with the killing of high ranked enemy generals you can await your true Victory and now you will be THE SHOGUNE and your dynasty will rule Nippon for a long time...
