Steam regions for multiplayer.

Hey guys, i'm from Australia and my region is set to where I live, but there is barely anyone playing, does anyone have a good steam region suggestion to play multiplayer on?

Depends on time of day, I would guess both Europe and US are fine.
Actually, your best bet is matchmaking, those aren't limited to region.

I tried match making, I THINK it is limited, not sure.
Any region in particular in the Europe or the US with a high number of players?

I'm sure it's not limited, someone from CA said.

Don't know about any specific region, but I think those are pooled together in some way too.
I'd take one where it is evening so most people are a) awake and b) back from school/work.

I think match making is regional. We have some what tested it and found that by switching servers between my clan mate and myself we will get quicker results based on the time of day.... Europe, US east and west coast. Can't prove it 100% but I think it is regional.

No,its not region, match making is 100% NOT REGIONAL... Hosted games and hosted custom battles and Lobby itself are regional,and that annoys so much! Same stuff was with ETW when it was released...

Im on Central Russia steam region, and MM always drop me with different people through different regions,of that im sure.
